1.) What are the typical job duties of a C.N.A?
Nursing aides also known as nursing assistants, certified nursing assistants, (C.N.A) perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. They answer patients call lights; deliver messages; serve meals; make beds; and help patients to eat, dress, and bathe. Aides also may provide skin care to patients; take their temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure; and help them to get into and out of bed and walk. They also may escort patients to operating and examining rooms, keep patients rooms neat, set up equipment, store and move supplies, and assist with some procedures. 2.) What is the typical pay for a C.N.A?
Median hourly earnings of nursing aides, orderlies, and attendants were $10.09 in May 2004. The middle 50 percent earned between $8.59 and $12.09 an hour. 3.) What is the job outlook for a C.N.A?

4.) Will I be a certified nurse aide (C.N.A.) after finishing your class?
You must take an approved course, then pass a state exam in Texas. After passing both, your name is added to the nurse aide registry.

6.) How long does it take to complete your class?
It is an 80 clock hour class,
includes classroom, simulated lab, and clinical.
7.) What class schedules do you offer?
We offer 3 different schedules, for the working, or busy adult.
All are listed under class calendar tab.
8.) What is the TOTAL cost of your class?
$900.00 total tuition.
9.) Do you offer financial aid?
To those who qualify. If you do not qualify, we have other programs, such as payment plans.
10.) What are the requirements to enroll?
High school diploma, or GED. social security card, ID, 18, or older, cannot have certain criminal convictions. Must be in general good health, able to transfer patients, and other nurse aide job duties. A school rep will be happy to walk you through all the requirements in greater detail, as well as referring you to resources if you don't meet specific requirement, such as places to get your GED, or agencies we work with to help you earn your high school diploma.
11) Will you get me a job?
Upon graduation, and even as an alumni, we will
work hard to provide you will
job placement assistance.

12.) I am not sure if I need to take the entire NA class? Nurse aide certification
has lapsed, or you are currently certified in another state, ect.
You need to contact Texas Department of Aging and Disability services (DADS), at
512-438-3011, they makes all final determination on waivers granted.
13.) Can I tour your school?
Yes, in fact it is required that you tour the school,
and attend a 20 min information session, before you can enroll.
